DIVERSITY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

What is diversity at Steininger?
It is Steininger’s intent to foster a work environment that provides acceptance, respect and sensitivity for all cultural differences, including but not limited to those related to ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability and religion.
AND
Steininger also desires to ensure that all people entering into our care receive equitable and effective treatment, provided in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. We aspire to provide programs and services which eliminate racial and ethnic healthcare disparities, and which improve the health and well-being of the individuals, families, and communities we serve
Steininger Behavioral Care Services, Inc. adheres to the belief that culture is central to the following:
We have chosen to drive our mission in the following ways:
-
By assessing our company’s cultural competence, to identify both agency strengths and service gaps.
-
By promoting company-wide utilization of the AT&T Language line for interpretation services.
-
By developing a Diversity Logo and cultural awareness campaign for increasing the clinical competence by our staff .
-
By developing a new internet based diversity resource, including resources for professional development related to cultural competence and diversity management.
-
By working collaboratively with individuals, programs and committees within the organization to implement and maintain an ongoing Diversity Awareness Campaign.
